NRA Springfield M1A Match FAQ
What kind of firearm may I shoot the match with? A: To be eligible for awards, you must shoot the match with a Springfield M1A only.

I want to share my equipment with my friend who is also shooting the match. Is this allowed? A: All competitors must be at the Viale Range 300 yard line by 6:45 am to receive their squadding assignment. Competitors sharing a rifle for this match must inform the individuals issuing squadding tickets of their special squadding request. All requests may not be accommodated.
I don't have a Springfield M1A rifle, may I rent one? A: We do not have rifles for you to borrow. You may share equipment with a friend who may have an M1A. Please see the special squadding above.
When and where is the awards ceremony? A: The award ceremony takes place in Hough Theatre, and will start at 5pm.
I have never participated in competitive shooting; what should I do in order to participate? A: There are no qualifications needed to shoot this match. This is a fun match, and you only need to fill out a registration form and pay your fee to participate.
Okay I'm registered, now what? Where do I go first the day of the match? A: On the day before or the morning of the match you must go to the NRA Entry Office, Building 950, at Camp Perry, OH, and pick up your entry packet. Your entry packet will include your free t-shirt, and information pertinent to the match. All competitors must be at the Viale Range 300 yard line by 6:45 am to receive their squadding assignment.
How do I get a free Springfield M1A t-shirt? A: Your M1A match registration and fees must be in hand at our office by July 15 to receive a free t-shirt. Your t-shirt will be included with your entry packet. Competitors who enter after July 15 will receive a $10 voucher valid towards a t-shirt purchase at the Springfield Armory store on vendor row at Camp Perry.
All I want is the Springfield M1A t-shirt, may I purchase one? A: No, only competitors who have registered by July 15 will receive a t-shirt, no exceptions.
I registered but something has come up, and I won't be able to attend after all. May I get a refund of my fees? A: Yes, minus a 10% cancellation fee.
